Correct Answer - Option 3 : 33.33%

Given:

C.P of 12 articles = S.P of 9 articles

Formula Used:

Profit = S.P – C.P

Profit% = (Profit/Cost Price) × 100

Calculation:

Let C.P and S.P be x and y respectively.

Now, C.P of 12 articles = 12x

And, S.P of 9 articles = 9y

From, Given

⇒ 12x = 9y

x/y = 3/4

Now, the Profit = S.P – C.P

⇒ Profit = y – x

From, above

⇒ Profit = 4 – 3 = 1 unit

Then, Profit % = (Profit/C.P) 100

⇒ Profit% = (1/3) × 100 = 33.33%

∴ The Profit% is 33.33%.
