Correct Answer - Option 1 : \(\dfrac{13}{12}\)

Given:

Mensah walked 1/3 km yesterday.

Mensah walked 3/4 km today.

Formula used:

d = d1 + d2 +......

Where d is total distance and d1 + d2 +...... is the sum of parts of the distance

Calculation:

According to question,

d = d1 + d2

⇒ d = (1/3) + (3/4)

LCM of 3 & 4 is 12

⇒ d = {(4 × 1) + (3 × 3)}/12

⇒ d = (4 + 9)/12

⇒ d = 13/12

∴ Mansha has walked total distance is 13/12 km.
