Correct Answer - Option 3 : 2700

Given:

A got 55% of valid votes

Total number of votes were 7500

20% votes were invalid

Calculation:

Total number of votes = 7500

20% of votes were invalid

Valid votes = 80%

Total valid votes = 7500 × (80/100)

A got 55% total valid votes

So, B should have got 45% of the total valid votes

Candidate B got = total valid votes × (45/100)

7500 × (80/100) × (45/100) = 2700

Candidate B got 2700 of total valid votes.
