The correct answer is Article 17.

  • Article 17 - Abolition of Untouchability.
    • "Untouchability" is abolished and its practice in any form is forbidden.
  • The enforcement of any disability arising out of "Untouchability" shall be an offense punishable in accordance with the law. 
  • The practice of untouchability is an offense under the Untouchability Offences Act of 1955 (renamed to Protection of Civil Rights Act in 1976) and anyone doing so is punishable by law.

  • Article 20
    • Protection in respect of conviction of the offense.
  • Article 18 - Abolition of titles.
