Correct Answer - Option 4 : sometimes unintentional

The correct answer is sometimes unintentional

  • According to the "communication as interaction" perspective, feedback is sometimes unintentional.
    • Unintentional Feedback is that in which the person expresses feelings or conclusions without any transparency.
    • In this, the listener is left behind wondering what the person is not saying.
    • Example:
      • When an employer sees an employee sad, he says - 'Hey, how was your weekend'?
        • It sounds caring but actually, it doesn't interpret what they really mean.

  • Communication is the two-way process of exchanging views, ideas, and thoughts.
    • It can be both verbal and non-verbal.
    • According to Peter Little:
      • "Communication is the process by which information is transmitted between individuals and/or organizations so that an understanding response results".
    • Without communication, no organizational and personal goals are achieved.
    • Therefore, a proper channel of communication at all levels is required.
