Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 4000

Given

A started the business = Rs 7000

B started the business = Rs 10,000

Formula

Investment = capital × time

Profit ratio is equal to investment ratio

Calculation

A Investment for 9 months = 7000 × 9 = 63,000

B Investment for 12 months = 10,000 × 12 = 1,20,000

⇒ Investment Ratio (A : B) = 63,000 : 1,20,000 = 21 : 40

⇒ Profit Ratio = 21 : 40

⇒ Total Profit = 6100

⇒ 61x = 6100

⇒ x = 100

⇒ Profit Share of B = 40 × 100 = Rs 4000

The profit share of B is Rs 4000
