Correct Answer - Option 1 : 26%

Given

Height of cone increased by 26 %

Formula used

Volume of cone = (1/3)πr2h

Where r and h are radius and height of a cone respectively

Calculation

Let height is 100 units and increased height is 126 units

Old volume of a cone = (1/3)πr2100 cu. units

New volume of a cone = (1/3)πr2(126) cu. units

Change in volume = 126πr2/3 - 100πr2/3

⇒ 26πr2/3 cu.units

Percentage of increase in volume = {[(26πr2/3)]/[(100πr2/3)]} × 100

⇒ [(26πr2/3) × (3/100πr2] × 100

⇒ 26%

∴ Volume of cone increased by 26%.
