  • It is located in Pinjore, Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana.
  • It is an example of the Mughal Gardens style and was built by Patiala Dynasty Rulers.
  • It was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan.
  • In recent times, it has been renamed as ‘Yadavindra Garden’ in the memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh former of the princely state of Patiala

    • Also known as Muzaffar Hussain.
    • He was the foster brother of Aurangzeb and also the Master of ordnance.
    • He also supervised the construction of the Badshahi Mosque of Lahore.

    • ​​He was the 9th and last Maharaja of Patiala.
    • He was also a cricket player. He played in one test in 1934.
    • He also served in Patiala state police and became its inspector general.
    • He served as the Indian ambassador to Italy and Netherlands.
    • He served as president of the Indian Olympic Association from 1938 to 1960. He was also the president of BCCI.
  • Maharaja Ala Singh
    • He was the first king of the princely state of Patiala.
    • He was born in 1691 at  Phul, in present-day Bhatinda. He belonged to Phulkian misl.
  • Maharaja Bhupinder Singh 
    • He was the ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala in British India from 1900 to 1938.
    • He fought in First World War and was awarded the rank of honorary Lieutenant General by the British.
    • He was the first Indian to own an aircraft.
