Correct Answer - Option 2 : 30.48 cm

Given:

The height of two brothers are 5'5'' and 6'5''

Formula used:

1 feet = 12 inches

1 inch = 2.54 cm

Calculation:

Height of 1st  brother = 5'5'' = (5 × 12 + 5) inches

= 65 inches

And 65 inches = 65 × 2.54 cm = 165.1 cm      ----(1)

Height of 2nd brother = 6'5'' = (6 × 12 + 5) inches

= 77 inches

And, 77 inches = 77 × 2.54 = 195.58 cm      ----(2)

Now, from equation (1) and (2)

Required difference = 195.58 cm - 165.1 cm

= 30.48 cm

∴ The difference between the heights of two brothers is 30.48 cm.
