Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 15,000

Given

Investment of X = Rs. 13,500

Time of investment of X = 12 months

Time of investment of Y = 9 months

Concept:

The profit is divided in the ratio of the investment times the time of investment.

Calculation:

Let the investment of Y = Rs. a

∴ (13,500 × 12)/(a × 9) = 6/5

⇒ (13,500 × 12)/6 = (a × 9)/5

⇒ (13,500 × 2) = (a × 9)/5

⇒ a = (13,500 × 2 × 5)/9

⇒ a = Rs. 15,000
