Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 5 months

Given:

Investment of Rohit = Rs. 60,000

Investment of Virat = Rs. 75,000

Time of investment of Rohit = 12 months

Concept:

The profit is divided in the ratio of the investment times the time of investment.

Calculation:

Let the time of investment of Virat = y months

∴ (60,000 × 12)/(75,000 × y) = 48/35

⇒ (48)/(5y) = 48/35

⇒ y = (48 × 35)/(48 × 5)

⇒ y = 7 months

∴ Virat joined after (12 - 7) = 5 months
