Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 1600

Solution:

Selling Price = Rs. 1392

Discount % = 13%

Formula used:

Marked Price = (Selling Price × 100)/(100 - D%)

Calculation:

Marked Price = (1392 × 100)/(100 - 13)

= 139200/87

= Rs. 1600

Alternative method:

Let the MP = 100a

∴ After discount;

SP = 100a - (13/100) × 100a

= 87a

∵ 87a = 1392

⇒ a = 1392/87

⇒ a = 16

∴ MP = 100a

= 100 × 16

= Rs. 1600
