Position of Pawan from left - 40^th

Position of Ratan from left - 40 + 15 = 55^th

Total number of persons is a queue = Position of Ratan from left + Position of Ratan from Right - 1

Position of Ratan from Right = Total number of persons in a queue - Position of Ratan from left + 1

Position of Ratan from Right = 90 - 55 + 1 = 36^th 

Hence, 36^th is correct.
