Correct Answer - Option 1 : 245.5

Given :

Arjun scored 523 marks in an exam, and Anjali got 60% in the same exam, which is 73 marks less than Arjun's marks.

Passing per cent is 37%.

Solution:

Arjun's score in the exam = 523 marks

Anjali's score in the exam = 523 - 73   (given)

⇒ 450

According to the question

Anjalis marks = 60% of the total marks

60% of total marks = 450

Total marks = 750

Pasing marks = 37% of 750 = 277.5

Difference of Arjun's marks and passing marks = 523 - 277.5 = 245.5

∴ Option 1 will be the correct answer.
