Concept:

Logarithm properties

  • \({\rm{If\;y}} = {\log _{\rm{a}}}{\rm{x\;then\;x}} = {\rm{\;}}{{\rm{a}}^{\rm{y}}}\)

Calculation:

Given: \(\log_x2 =4\)

Taking antilog, we get

2 = x4                     

⇒ x4 = 2

∴ x = 2(1/4)
