Correct Answer - Option 4 : Kandla Port

The Gulf of Kutch is an inlet of the Arabian Sea along the west coast of India, in the state of Gujarat, which is renowned for extreme daily tides.

Let's look at the different ports:

  • Kandla Port:
    • The Kandla port of India forms a vital marine network for vessels entering India through its Western waters – the Arabian Sea.
    • Situated in the Gulf of Kutch, in the province of Gujarat Kutch, the port of Kandla has been in existence since the mid-1900s, specifically constructed to fulfill the dearth of marine harbors in the country’s western water route.
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT):
    • It is also known as Nhava Sheva Port, which is the largest container port in India.
    • Located in Navi Mumbai's Raigad district, this port on the Arabian Sea is accessed via Thane Creek.
    • It's a nodal city of Navi Mumbai.
  • Dwarka is a Medium-sized Port.
    • The maximum length of the vessels recorded to have entered this port is 43 meters.
    • It is located on West Coast India, in India.
  • Okhla port is situated in the South East Delhi near the border between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Thus, we can conclude that Kandla Port is situated at the Gulf of Kutch.
