Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 72

Given:

Aman and Raman can complete the work in 18 days

Aman alone can complete the work in 24 days

Concept used:

Total work = Efficiency × Time period

Calculation:

Taking the L.C.M of 18 & 24

L.C.M of 18 & 24 is 72

⇒ One day work of Aman and Raman = 72/18 = 4

⇒ One day work of Aman = 72/24 = 3

⇒ One day work of Raman = 4 – 3 = 1

⇒ Number of days Raman alone takes to complete the work = 72/1 = 72

∴ The number of days Raman takes to complete the whole work is 72.
