Correct Answer - Option 1 : 9100

Given:

The price of a cooler is Rs. 9800. The loss incurred on selling it was 35%.

The ratio of selling price of the cooler and a camera is 2 : 3.

The profit on selling the camera was 5%.

Formula:

Profit or Gain = Selling price – Cost Price

Loss = Cost Price – Selling Price

Profit percentage = (Profit/Cost Price) × 100

Loss percentage = (Loss/Cost price) × 100

Calculation:

CP of cooler = Rs. 9800

SP of cooler = Rs. (9800 × 0.65) = Rs. 6370

Ratio of cooler and camera is 2 : 3.

⇒ 6370/(SP of camera) = 2/3

⇒ SP of camera = 9555

CP of camera = 9555/1.05

⇒ 9100

∴ CP of camera is Rs. 9100
