Correct Answer - Option 1 : 3072

Given:

The price of x is 7680.

The ratio of price of x and y after price of x is increased by 15% and price of y increased by 15% is 5 : 2.

Formula used:

Profit or Gain = Selling price – Cost Price

Loss = Cost Price – Selling Price

Profit percentage = (Profit /Cost Price) × 100

Loss percentage = (Loss / Cost price) × 100

Calculation:

(7680 × 115/100)/(y × 115/100) = 5/2

⇒ 1536/y = 1/2

⇒ y = 3072

∴ price of y is Rs. 3072
