Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 1620

Given:

Marked Price = Rs. 2700

Successive discount% = 25% and 20%

Formula used:

Effective discount % = x% + y% - (xy/100)%

Calculation:

Effective discount % = 25 + 20 - (25 × 20)/100

= (45 - 5)%

= 40%

∴ Discount = 40% of 2700

= (40/100) × 2700

= Rs. 1080

∴ Selling Price of the pant = Marked Price - Discount

= Rs. 2700 - Rs. 1080

= Rs. 1620
