Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : 183/260

GIVEN:

Total students = 40

Boys = 22

FORMULA USED:
P = Favorable outcome/Total outcome

nCr = n!/r!(n - r)!

CALCULATION:

Number of girls = 18

Ways of selecting one girl and a boy = 22C1 × 18C1 = 22 × 18 = 396

Ways of selecting 2 girls = 18C2 = 153

Ways of selecting at least one girl = 396 + 153 = 549

Required P = 549/40C2 = 549/780

⇒ 183/260

∴ The answer is 183/260.
