Correct Answer - Option 3 : 225 km

Given :

Sajal travel from A to B at a speed of 50 km/h

B to C at a speed of 100 km/h

Distance of B to C = 2 × Distance of A to B

Formula used :

Average speed = Total distance/Total time

Calculations :

Let the distance from A to B is 'x' km

Let the distance from B to C be '2x' km

Total time = (x/50) + (2x/100)

⇒ x/25 hours

Average speed = 3x/(x/25)

⇒ 75 km/h

Now distance covered in 3 hours with this average speed

Distance = 75 × 3

⇒ 225 km

∴ The total distance covered will be 225 km.
