Given

The average of 15 bananas = Rs 35 

The average of 25 oranges = Rs 15

Formula Used

Average = Sum of observation/No. of observation 

Calculation:

⇒ No. of total fruits = 25 + 15 = 40 

⇒ total cost of fruits = 35 × 15 + 25 × 15 = Rs 900

⇒ Average = 900/40 =Rs 22.5  

∴ The average of fruits in basket is Rs 22.5
