Correct Answer - Option 3 : 3136 sq cm

Given:

The total surface area of the cube = 4704 sq cm

Formula Used:

The total surface area of the cube = 6a2

The lateral surface area of the cube = 4a2

Where,

a = side of the cube

Calculation:

According to the question,

6a2 = 4704

⇒ a2 = 4704/6

⇒ a2 = 784

Now,

The lateral surface area of the cube = 4a2

⇒ 4 × 784

⇒ 3136

∴ The lateral surface area of the cube is 3136 sq cm.
