  • The order of a control system is determined by the power of ‘s’ in the denominator of its transfer function.
  • The number of open-loop poles occurring at origin determines the type of system.

Calculation:

\(G\left( s \right)H\left( s \right) = \frac{K(s+2)}{{s({{s^2} + 2s + 3})}}\)

Type = number of poles at origin = 1

Order = Total number of poles = 3
