Correct Answer - Option 3 : 0.66

Given:

The sample space of an experiment S = {1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9}.

Formula used:

Probability of an event E, P(E), is defined as

P(E) = (Number of outcomes favourable to E)/(Number of all possible outcomes of the experiment)

Calculation:

Sample space S = {1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9}.

Thus, Number of even numbers in S = 4 = Number of favourable outcomes

Total possible outcomes = 6

⇒ Probability that an even number is obtained = 4/6 = 0.66
