Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 5 : 8 : 9

GIVEN:

A : B (6 years ago) = 5 : 6

A + B = 45 years

EXPLANATION:

Let their ages 6 years ago be 5x and 6x

A.T.Q

5x + 6 + 6x + 6 = 45

11x = 33

x = 3 yrs

Required ratio = (5x + 9) : (6x + 9)

⇒ (5 × 3 + 9) : (6 × 3 + 9) = 8 : 9

∴ The ratio will be 8 : 9
