Correct Answer - Option 2 : 3036

Given:

Bank

Candidates Appearing

% of Candidates Qualifying

I

2200

26

J

3000

17

Calculation:

Bank

Candidates Appearing

% of Candidates Qualifying

 Number of candidates
who qualified

Number of candidates who did not qualify

I

2200

26

2200 × 26% = 572

2200 - 572 = 1628

J

3000

17

3000 × 17% = 510

3000 - 510 = 2490

Number of candidates who did not qualify in banks I and J together = 1628 + 2490 = 4118
Number of candidates who qualified in banks I and J together = 572 + 510 = 1082

Required difference = 4118 - 1082 = 3036

∴ Required difference is 3036.
