Total terms (n) = 13 (odd number)

Calculation:

Median = [(n + 1)/2]th term (When n is odd)

⇒ 54 = [(13 + 1)/2]th term

⇒ 54 = (14/2)th term

⇒ 54 = 7th term

⇒ 54 = k + 8

⇒ k = 54 – 8 = 46

∴ Value of k is 46
