Correct Answer - Option 3 : 308 m2

Given:

The Ratio of length and breadth of the bedsheet is 7 ∶ 11

The perimeter of the bedsheet is 72 m

Formula Used:

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Calculation:

Let the length and breadth of the bedsheet be 7a and 11a.

Perimeter = 72 m

⇒ 2 × (7a + 11a) = 72

⇒ 18a = 36

⇒ a = 2

So, length of bedsheet = 7a = 14 m and breadth = 11a = 22 m

Now, area covered by bedsheet = Length × Breadth = 14 × 22 = 308 m2

∴ The area of a given bedsheet is 308 m2
