Correct Answer - Option 4 : 36/17 days

Given:

Time taken by Ankit to do 30 % of work = 12 days

Time taken by Bunty to do 50 % of work = 15 days

Formula used:

Efficiency = Work/ Time

Calculation:

Ankit can do the whole work = 12 × 100/30 = 40

Bunty can do the whole work - 15 × 100/20 = 30

⇒ Let total work =120

⇒ Efficiency of Ankit = 120/40 = 3

⇒ Efficiency of Bunty = 120/30 = 4

⇒ workdone by both Arun and Bunty in 10 days  = (3+4)× 10 = 70

⇒ Remaining work =  50

⇒ efficiency of Chintu = 50/5 = 10

⇒ total efficeincy of Ankit, Bunt and Chintu = 3 + 4 + 10 = 17

⇒ They together can complete 30% of whole work = 120/17 × 30/100 = 36/17

∴ Ankit, Bunty & Chintu can complete the whole work 30% of total work in 36/17 days.
