At 8 o'clock in the morning, the hour hand will be at 8.

At 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the hour hand will be at 2.

In one hour the hour hand rotates 30 degrees.

8 o'clock morning to 2 o'clock afternoon = 6 hrs

Therefore the hour hand rotate = 6 × 30 

= 180 degree

Hence, 180 is correct.

NOTE-

The hour hand at 8:00 and 2:00 makes a linear pair, which is of 180 degrees.
