Correct Answer - Option 3 : 30 litres

Given:

Mixture of wine and water = 70 liters

Initial water concentration = 10%

Calculations:

Amount of water in 70 litre of mixture = 10% of 70 = 7 litres

Let x litres of water is added to the mixture

According to question,

⇒ 7 + x = 37/100 × (70 + x)

⇒ 100(7 + x) = 37 (70 + x)

⇒ 700 + 100x = 2590 + 37x

⇒ 63x = 1890

⇒ x = 189/63 = 30

∴ x = 30 litres
