Correct Answer - Option 3 : 500

GIVEN:

A train running at the speed of 60 km/h crosses a pole in 30 seconds.

FORMULA USED:

Speed = Distance/Time

CALCULATION:

Speed of train = 60 km/h = 60 × 5/18 = 50/3 m/s

Time taken to cross the pole is 30 seconds

⇒ Length of train = 30 × 50/3  = 500 meters

∴ Length of the train (in metres) is 500 meters
