The first and second numbers are 80% and 50% less than the third number. By how much percentage the first number should be increased so that it equals the second number?

Correct Answer - Option 2 : 150

Let the third number be 100x

⇒ The first number = 100x × 20% = 20x

⇒ Second number = 100x × 50% = 50x

Equation (II) − (i) = 50x - 20x = 30x

∴ Required percentage = 30x/20x × 100 = 150%
