  • The award was given to Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava of Madhya Pradesh by the Union Rural Development Minister Virendra Singh at the MGNREGA summit held in New Delhi.

  • The award was given to Madhya Pradesh for convergence of MGNREGA and other schemes for construction of permanent assets and for excellent work in providing opportunities for earning permanent income.
  • Madhya Pradesh is leading in the construction of permanent assets through MGNREGA convergence in the country.
