Correct Answer - Option 3 : 32 litres

Given:

The ratio of milk and water in the mixture is 8 : 3.

The quantity of the mixture is 88 litres

Calculation:

As the total quantity of the mixture is 88 litres

When 44 litres of mixture is taken out, the ratio between milk and water does not change

Remaining mixture = 88 - 44 = 44 liters

∴ Quantity of milk in the mixture = \( {8 \ \over 11} × 44 = 8 × 4 = 32 \;liters\)

∴ The quantity of milk left in the mixture is 32 litres.
