Correct Answer - Option 2 : 320 meter2

Given:

The perimeter of the rectangular field = 96 meter

Length is 5 times the width

Formula Used:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Calculation:

Let the width of the rectangular field be b meter

Length of the rectangular field = 5b meter

Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(5b + b) meter

⇒ 2 × 6b = 96

⇒ 12b = 96

⇒ b = 8

Length = 40 meter and width = 8 meter

Area of the rectangular field = 40 × 8 meter2

⇒ 320 meter2

 The area of the rectangular field is 320 meter2
