  • The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Ministry of Human Resource Development was designated as the Nodal Agency for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Policy.
  • The National Youth Policy, 1988 aimed at creating opportunities for the youth to develop their personality and their functional capabilities, and thus make them economically productive and socially useful.
