Correct Answer - Option 2 : 60

Given

Average of 5 consecutive numbers = 30

Formula Used

Average = Sum of observations/Number of observations

Calculation

Let the 4 consecutive numbers be x, (x + 1), (x + 2), (x + 3) and (x + 4)

So, [x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) + (x + 3) + (x + 4)]/5 = 30

⇒ 5x + 10 = 150

⇒ x = 140/5 = 28

Largest number = x + 4 = 28 + 4 = 32

Sum = (x) + (x + 4) = 28 + 32 = 60

∴ 60 is the sum of the given numbers
