Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 54, 58

Given

Number of Indian athletes = 1836

Number of Australian athletes = 1296

Formula Used

Concept of H.C.F.

Calculation

The Highest common factor of 1836 and 1296 is 54

1836 ÷ 54 = 34

1296 ÷ 54 = 24

1) There are 54 athletes in each group

2) There are 34 groups of Indian athletes and 24 groups of Australian athletes.

So, total no. of groups = 34 + 24 = 58

∴ the maximum number of athletes in each group is 54 and total number of groups is 58.
