Correct Answer - Option 2 : 108 cm

Given:

Radius of the sphere = 9 cm

Radius of the cylinder = 3 cm

Formulae Used:

Volume of a cylinder = πr2h

Volume of a sphere = (4/3)πr3

Calculation:

When the sphere is moulded to form cylinder,

Volume of the sphere = volume of the cylinder

⇒ (4/3)πr3 = πr2

⇒ (4/3) × π × (9)3 = π × (3)2 × h

⇒ h = 108

∴ height of the cylinder is 108 cm.
