Correct Answer - Option 2 : 91/216

Formula used:

Probability = Favourable outcomes/Total number of outcomes

Concept used:

When three dice are thrown then the total number of outcomes = 63 = 216

Calculation:

Total number of outcomes = 216

The probability of not getting 3 on a single die = 5/6

The probability of not getting 3 on all 3 dice = (5/6)3 = 125/216

The probability of getting 3 on at least one die = 1 – The probability of not getting 3 on all 3 dice

⇒ 1 – (125/216)

⇒ 91/216

∴ The required probability is 91/216
