Correct Answer - Option 1 : 990 km

Given:

The speed of bus P and Q are 30 km/hr and 33 km/hr respectively.

Formula used:

Time = Distance/Time

Calculation:

Let the distance be x km

According to the question:

Time taken by the slower bus – Time taken by the faster bus = 3 hr

⇒ (x/30) – (x/33) = 3

⇒ (33x – 30x)/30 × 33 = 3

⇒ [3x/30 × 33)] = 3

⇒ x = 30 × 33 = 990 km

∴ The distance between the starting point and destination is 990 km.
