Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : 44.44%

Given

An offer is running,” Buy any 5 get 4 free”.

Price of one article = Rs. 200

Formula Used

Discount = Marked price – Selling Price

Discount % = (Discount / Marked price) × 100

Calculation

Total number of articles purchased = 5

Total number of articles got = 5 + 4 = 9 articles

Price of one articles = Rs. 200

M.P of 9 articles = 9 × 200 = Rs. 1800

S.P of 5 articles = 5 × 200 = Rs. 1000

Discount = M.P – S.P

⇒ 1800 – 1000

⇒ Rs. 800

Discount % = (Discount / M.P.) × 100

⇒ (800 / 1800) × 100

⇒ 44.44%

∴ The net discount percentage is 44.44%.
