Sofy covers a same distance by her car, and start 1.5 hour after Ram starts and reaches Bareilly half an hour late. What is the ratio of the time taken by Ram on his bike to Sofy going by her car?

Given∶

Total distance = 410 km

Ram’s speed = 82 km / h

Sofy’s starts 1.5 hour later and reaches half an hour later.

Formula Used∶

Time = Distance / Speed

Calculation∶

Time taken by Ram = Distance / Speed

⇒ 410 / 82

⇒ 5hrs

Time taken by Sofy = (5 – 1.5) + 0.5

⇒ 3.5 + 0.5

⇒ 4 hrs

∴ The required ratio is 5 ∶ 4.
