Correct Answer - Option 3 : 6

Calculation:

Let, the number = x

After tripled the number will be = 3x

After adding 6 the number will be = 3x + 6

According to the problem,

⇒2(3x + 6) = 48

⇒ 3x + 6 = 24

⇒ x + 2 = 8

⇒ x = 6

∴ Required number, x = 6

∴ The number is 6.
