Correct Answer - Option 2 : 8065

Given:

Grocer has a sale of Rs. 6,835, Rs. 3,660, Rs. 8,420, Rs. 7,340 and Rs. 5,460 for 5 consecutive months respectively

Average sale  of 6 months = Rs. 6630

Concept:

Average = Sum of observations/Number of observations

Calculation:

Total sale of 6 months = (6630 × 6) = Rs. 39780

Total sale of 5 consecutive months = (6835 + 3660 + 8420 + 7340 + 5460) = 31715

The sale the grocer has in the sixth month = (39780 ─ 31715) = 8065

∴ Grocer has sale in sixth month is 8065.
