Correct Answer - Option 2 : 33

Calculation:

Let Aron has x pencils

⇒ Aditya has 2x pencils

⇒ Cost of pencils be p

⇒ Cost of x pencils = xp

⇒ Cost of 2x pencils = 2xp

⇒ 2xp - xp = xp

⇒ Aron has y sharpner

⇒ Cost of y sharpners = y(p + 2)

⇒ Aditya has y - 10 sharpner

⇒ Cost of Aditya's sharpner = (y - 10)(p + 2)

⇒ y(p + 2) -(y - 10)(p + 2) = 10(p + 2)

According to questions

⇒ xp = 10(p + 2)

⇒ (x - 10)p = 20

⇒ Minimum value of x = 11

∴ Total pencils = 3x

∴ Minimum value of pencils bought by Aron and Aditya together is is  3 × 11 = 33
