Correct Answer - Option 2 : 3 km

Given:

Speed of boat in still water = 27 km/h

Speed of current = 9 km/h

Formula used:

Speed = Distance/ Time

m/sec = 5/18 × km/hr

Speed of boat upstream = Speed of boat in still water – Speed of stream

Calculation:

Speed of boat upstream = 27 – 9

⇒ Speed of boat upstream = 18 km/h

Converting km/ h into m/s

⇒ Speed of boat upstream in m/s = 5 m/s

⇒ Distance traveled by boat = (5 × 10) × 60

⇒ Distance traveled by boat = 3000 m

⇒ Distance traveled by boat = 3 km

Distance travelled by boat is 3 km
